In 2010 we started an experiment and aged a part of the white wine in a small oak vat, wondering about the effect. It was a confirmation. The wine in this terroir is so strong that it can easily accept the challenge. >>

We named it Telémaco after the great florentine painter Telemaco Signorini who fell in love with the Cinque Terre in 1860. He returned every year, lived with the people of Riomaggiore and left us many beautiful paintings.

But Telemachos is also a figure in Greek mythology. The son of Odysseus and Penelope never gave up the search for his father who, after the war in Troy, wandered for years on the Mediterranean Sea before he finally got home.

The persistence and patience of Telemachos, the ingeniosity, courage and tenacity of Odysseus are just as important for somebody who set his mind on making wine in the Cinque Terre.
